Delicious Recipes; Candied Almonds

Hello Everybody!! 🙂

Yesterday,  my sister and I were talking  about cooking chicken… or was it meat ? Ah, I don’t know. Instead of making the chicken we both agreed on, my mind went straight to something sweet, which is not like me as I LOVE anything spicy.. I was really tempted to put paprika on this recipe. LOL.  It was quick and easy. Something that would definitely help me stay awake. We never made the chicken because she didn’t want to cook.. and I just finished “cooking”!

Do not eat everything at once ,You will regret it later 🙂 

**ok.. now I want that chicken!!**

I got the recipe from David Lebivitz blog * which I absolutely LOVE*

2 cups raw whole almonds

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup water

In a large skillet, put in the almonds, sugar and water

Cook over medium heat till the water thickens stirring frequently

In a few minutes or seconds if you put the heat too high,  the almonds will get crusty and the sugar will crystallize

Lower the heat, and scrape up the syrup at the bottom of the pan on top of the almonds

We want the almonds to become just a little bit dark, but not burnt or as David said, deeply-bronzed 🙂

Scoop the almonds out and put them on a baking sheet to cool
